Pride Disposal employs more than 60 dedicated professionals: Customer Service Representatives and Administrative Personnel, Drivers, Mechanics, and Supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications
Pride Disposal Company supports a drug-free work environment and requires pre-employment background checks and drug screening for all positions

Customer Service Representatives: Requires extensive telephone and computer skills to set up new customer accounts, make changes to existing accounts, provide customer service and recycling education. Must have previous experience in customer service and phone work, and be able to multi task. Position utilizes multiple technology sources to track customer information, route activity and video records. Familiarity with Washington County is a plus.

Drivers:  All driver positions require a minimum of a CDL Class B license.  CDL Class A is required for some equipment.  Drivers run their routes using RouteWare®.  This system tells our drivers exactly what and where the next pick-up is, replacing paper route sheets with electronic data now fed directly to our office software. 

Mechanics: CDL Class A license is required. Basic computer skills needed. Must be knowledgeable in all phases of truck maintenance & repair. Extensive work with electrical, hydraulic, brake and air systems. Welding knowledge is beneficial.

Fabricators: Prospective employees must be knowledgeable in welding, fabrication and design, MIG and TIG welding. Must be innovative, creative and open-minded, and capable of designing from the frame up.

Current Openings:

Lube Technician

We are actively recruiting a Swing Shift – Lube Tech.

Shift: 2:00 pm-12:30am. (TBT Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday) 

Responsibilities include:

-Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on disposal trucks, including CNG trucks, yellow iron, and other facility equipment. 
-Commit to maintaining our focus on safety and teamwork. 

-Be willing to be trained on all aspects of repairs and attend all provided schools and training, with the ability to advance in your career

REQUIRED: Current experience in diesel equipment preventative maintenance

The ideal candidate will be a team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude. They must have the ability to take direction and stay on task, but also be flexible and open to change.

-Must have basic set of tools
-Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal records check at job offer. 
-An insurable driving record

WAGES: Entry Level Lube Tech $17.00 per hour

Welder / Fabricator

Duties and Responsibilities: Including and not limited to the following...

• Write up work orders and coordinate parts with work order.
• Perform servicing and welding repairs on company containers and vehicles.
• Perform service calls to make on-site welding repairs on containers or vehicles as needed.
• Unload, assemble and maintain containers.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Report all noted defects in writing.
• Perform other related assignments as required.
• Understand how to use and care for your welding equipment and work in a safe manner.
• Sign all work orders and turn into the maintenance office when complete.
• Maintain a clean and efficient work area.

Work Experience and/or Educational Requirements:

• Familiarity with welding techniques. MIG/TIG
• At least 3 years of related work experience welding sheet metal and using wire feed welder.
• Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds.
• Ability to pass a medical and drug test.
• A combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Need to have valid driver's license.
