We have been receiving many calls about extra bag charges and overload charges so we would like to clarify what "extra garbage" is.
You pay for your service by volume. For example, if you pay for a 32 gallon garbage cart, anything above 32 gallons of garbage is considered extra garbage. If the lid on your can is open due to extra garbage over the lip of the cart, then you are getting more than 32 gallons of service. If there is an extra bag on top of the lip of the cart, or next to the cart then you are getting more than 32 gallons of service. This is the same for yard debris. If you have more materials than will fit inside your cart with the lid completely closed, you will be charged accordingly for the extra material.
Information about extra garbage and overload fees is on the back of your bill each month, on our website, and also in the new start information you were sent when starting service. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
